Make the renowned “batata a murro” (punched potatoes). Wash a few new potatoes and bake them in the oven with their skins on.

Season with a bit of sea salt.

When ready, remove them from the oven and punch them, either with your fist or with a kitchen mallet.

Immediately drizzle with olive oil and add more salt if necessary.

Serve up the codfish together with the potatoes and a salad seasoned to taste.
